PMR sofware radio repeaer - parrot

 

Radio repeater (parrot) is a device that captures the spoken word radio, then repeats it, and sends forth. The objective is to move the radio signal further than the relay and increase the distance you can connect with the PTT. Repeater lives generally located on a site that can receive and transmit signals to the greatest possible distance. Some time ago I wanted to construct a repeat, but it seemed like it too difficult to produce even the transmitter electronics refresher module. As I tried to test the prototype PMR walkie connect to a computer with the recording and repeat the old SIMPLEX program.

 

 

Walkie repeater must not have any antenna modifications, performance or components. If this is not quite the cheapest transmitter hypermarket and an outlet for microphone and headphone can be used as a repeater. Is connected to PC cable with a connector on both ends 3.5mm jack are reduced to 2.5 mm.

 

 

To set the transmitter VOX (voice broadcast triggered). The output from the headphone radio interface with a computer microphone. Headphone output computer interconnect the mic transmitters. Finally, start the program SIMPLEX. It is still a little play around with volume adjustments.
