How to Grow Peanuts
Peanuts, boar nuts, peanuts or botanical name Arachis hypogaea are popular favorites that you can easily grow in our conditions.
Two nuts are usually hidden in the wood grain. For cultivation it is necessary to get unpopulated, whether planting or forage.
After two weeks the plants are about 10 cm high.
Approximately a month to two, small yellow flowers appear at the bottom of the plant. Flowers are self-effervescent.
After harvesting, small tendrils will start to grow out of the flowers, which will bruise into the ground. At the end, they will grow nuts underground. If the soil is tough, we can slightly lengthen the plant with the tendrils. Similar to potato dredging.
Plants can be grown in the flower pot on the window or outdoors. Then we put the pre-planned outfits out in the second half of May. In warmer areas, the orchards can be sown directly into the ground. The ideal temperature for growing is above 20 ° C.
Approximately 4 to 5 months after flowering, we can harvest the crop. We can control the search by removing the roots and tearing off one piece.
If the orchards are already ripe, dig all the plant and after the root cleansing the nuts remain.
Raw nuts are tasteless. After cooking it tastes like beans. The best is roasted in a shell on the hay or in the oven. In need, they can be fried for a few minutes in a microwave, just like a pug.
